Rick has been at Murdoch since 1997. During that time he has had two three-year appointments as Director of the Teaching and Learning Centre and is now Manager, Educational Development.

Rick has played an active role in the University's strategic planning and quality assurance processes as well as in the development of its current flexible teaching and learning initiatives. He currently chairs the University's Education Technologies Committee and Assessment Committee and is a member of the Learning and Teaching Committee.

Rick's expertise is in the fields of program and policy evaluation, research methods, assessment, vocational education and training, strategic planning and quality assurance. He is immediate past-President of the Australasian Evaluation Society, and a previous co-editor of the Evaluation Journal of Australasia.
