Student Orientation

The Student Learning Centre has an active role on all campuses in assisting students in their orientation to university. At the Murdoch Campus, check out the Student Learning Centre information stall in Bush Court where a number of pamphlets, handouts and other resources are available for new students to get you started in the first few weeks of your study. Student Learning Centre staff also have displays at both the Rockingham and Peel campuses. Look for the purple balloons! In addition, the Student Learning Centre runs a one hour session called 'Being a successful student' which is presented as an active workshop designed to encourage students to discover how to be a resourceful, resilient and successful student at university. It introduces a balanced approach to study that takes into account the whole person.

In addition, each year at the beginning of each semester the Senior Lecturer in ESL presents an orientation session on 'Studying in Australia' for new international students as part of the international students orientation program run by Murdoch International.
