Who May Apply?
OnTrack is a free pre-university program, targeting people who can demonstrate educational disruption due to family, financial, social, physical, medical, disability or other circumstances. Applications are also open to those living in rural or remote locations, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people, and women who are keen to study in one of the University's Engineering courses.

The program is also of interest to mature-aged students living in Rockingham, Mandurah and surrounding areas who have not studied at university level. People who have been unemployed for longer than six months are particularly encouraged to apply.

In addition, OnTrack will consider Year 12 students not enrolled in TEE subjects who have experienced significant family or personal disruption to their upper school studies. Supporting information provided by school teaching staff is required. Students still at high school should consult with their school regarding graduation requirements and commitments.

The Program Components
OnTrack consists of three modules, each four weeks in length. The first module ensures that students enter a supported learning environment and commences with the essential learning skills required for successful engagement at university. Progression into the second and third modules subsequently allows the student to engage more deeply with their own particular field of study.

ESL students are specifically accommodated within the program via an additional, dedicated stream of classes.

Overall, participants receive an excellent introduction to, and preparation for, tertiary study and improve their knowledge of the University's environment and culture.

This program has replaced the UniQuest, UniAccess, EngFocus and UniFocus enabling programs. It is designed to provide more extensive preparation and learning support to those students who have experienced disruption or disadvantage in educational opportunities and who wish to undertake undergraduate studies at Murdoch University.

Following completion of OnTrack, successful participants may be offered a place at Murdoch University commencing the following semester.
