School Development Process
The School Development Process is a coordinated, whole-school approach
to enhancing teaching and learning. Every five years, each School undergoes
a review and for the year prior to this review the Teaching and Learning
Centre is involved in a range of curriculum renewal and development activities
designed to contribute to the review.
The School Development Process involves key
activities which contribute
to:
- Data collection and information provision
- Curriculum planning
- Curriculum renewal.
In reality preparation for the review, and curriculum development and
renewal in particular, are iterative and integrated processes. The major
focus of the TLC within the School Development Process is curriculum renewal
and its benefits beyond the preparation for a School review.
