Curriculum renewal

The School Development Process integrates three university-wide curriculum initiatives which contribute to curriculum renewal:

  • graduate attribute mapping
  • curriculum alignment, and
  • adopting the new flexible model for unit development, FLIC.

Curriculum renewal is an ongoing process and it is recognised that Unit Coordinators reflect on their teaching, respond to student feedback and adapt their units to incorporate current information and teaching strategies that will enhance student learning.

While Schools are involved in the School Development Process, TLC staff are available to assist with curriculum renewal initiatives and to run sessions on a range of related topics such as:

    * Curriculum alignment
    * Writing sound learning objectives
    * Assessment strategies
    * Group work
    * Student centred learning
    * FLIC
    * Getting the most from WebCT
