Mapping the Graduate Attributes
The Murdoch
Graduate Attributes were accepted by Academic Council in May 2000 and
revised in late 2003. It was decided that all Divisions
should identify the
Graduate
Attributes achievable in each major.
With the
intention of integrating Graduate Attributes into core units across all
programs of study Academic Council requested Divisions to map part 1
and
part 2 units against each attribute including, for each unit, the objectives,
content, learning activities and assessment relative to the attributes.
A web-based
mapping tool has been developed by the Teaching and Learning Centre
(TLC) to facilitate the task of mapping graduate attributes to units.

The TLC has
provided some resources on the mapping process

Points
to remember
- Map
your units for the year.
- You
are not expected to cover all of the Graduate Attributes in one
unit.
- The
map you create will be collated by your Program Chair or DEO.
- Map
what you will actually be doing, not what you would ideally
do.
- You
may need to reconfigure your unit objectives, content, learning
activities and assessment in the light of the Graduate Attributes.
- There
is no one correct way to map your unit(s).
