Course Maps

The community and employers have an expectation that in addition to specialist subject knowledge and skills, university students will graduate with a range of qualities or attributes that equip them to function effectively in the community and the workplace.

Murdoch University has a set of nine attributes for its graduates and is committed to helping students to develop them over the course of their studies, no matter which degree they take.

It is not expected that all graduate attributes will be covered in a single unit. Over any course of study, however, students should encounter all of the graduate attributes in several units and have the chance to improve and reinforce them as they move from year to year.

Murdoch has been mapping where graduate attributes are covered in units and provides reports that show how graduate attributes are embedded within the learning objectives, content topics, learning activities and assessment.
