Good teacher profile

Useful technique to get students to focus on what they value in teaching and provides you with an idea of what their values are.

  • Ask students to think about a particularly good (and anonymous) teacher they have had and write a profile of that person.

  • Or ask them to list two or three qualities of that teacher and why they consider that to be 'good teaching'.

Should be used towards the beginning of a unit when it will be less personal.
