This project was commissioned by the Australian Universities Teaching Committee (AUTC) and undertaken
by R. James, C. McInnis, and M. Devlin of the Centre for the Study of Higher Education at the University
of Melbourne. The 64-page booklet is downloadable. Resources available from the website include case
studies of good practice, tips for new staff, and information on subjects such as plagiarism, and assessing
group work, and international students.

This site includes a wide range of useful information on various forms off assessment, including the
pros and cons of different strategies. The information was complied in the early 1990s by Keith Trigwell
for staff at the University of Technology Sydney.
