The City of Melville's Disability Service provides a planned approach to progressively improve access in community services available in the City of Melville. Access to buildings, transport and community facilities such as the Libraries and City's Recreation Centres ensure that the needs of people with disabilities are met.

ACROD is the National Industry Association for Disability Services.  ACROD's membership includes over 550 non-government, non-profit organisations, which collectively operate several thousand services for Australians with all types of disabilities, including intellectual, physical, psychiatric and sensory.  ACROD's members are located in every State and Territory in Australia and range in size from very small support groups to very large service providers.

The Association for the Blind of W A. During the past 85 years, the Association for the Blind of WA has grown from a small voluntary organisation, the Lady Braille Writers, to a complex, statewide organisation that is the principal provider of services to thousands of Western Australians who are blind or vision impaired.
