Project Description
My subject is an introductory post-graduate subject, orienting distance education students to health care systems and placing health services management into a personal context. Seventy students from a range of work settings, with different undergraduate qualifications, are based in different health systems (mainly Australia, Canada, and Hong Kong). Social constructivist principles are used to enable experience to be incorporated into their learning. Assessment encourages reflective practice and the development of a managerial frame of thinking. Computer mediated communication enables public reflection and with a high level of online participation my interest is now demonstrating intended learning outcomes are being realised.
