Details of the Project This project will guide a group of academics through the evaluation of a Computer-facilitated Learning (CFL) project by a process of action inquiry and mentoring. An overview of the process is shown in the interactive diagram below. |
|
Participants will learn to evaluate student learning resulting from the use of their own CFL project, through cycles of action inquiry in which they develop an evaluation plan, carry out the evaluation, analyse the data and disseminate the results. Each participant will be supported in the action inquiry process by a mentor, and the evaluation handbook. [download in RTF format] Project participants will consolidate their experiences as action researchers at a workshop where they will publish the results of their evaluations in draft form. Draft papers will be refined in a further cycle of action inquiry and published in a volume of papers. A major outcome of the project will be a widely applicable and extensible model of the process of learning evaluation skills, reified as a staff development guide. These criteria were used in December 1999 for selection as a mentor or mentee. |
